RentZoro Inc. (“RentZoro”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share your information when you use our website located at rentzoro.ca and other services we may offer (the website and other services are collectively referred to as the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy also explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. By using the Platform you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information Usage
Information we collect
We or our third party service providers collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Personal Information is information about an identifiable individual. This includes information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate an individual. We collect personal information when you or another user voluntarily provided it to us through our Platform or through other means. For example, we may collect personal information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number when you create an account, make a purchase, enter a contest or promotion, communicate with us, submit a review, register to receive a newsletter, take a survey or otherwise submit personal information to us with your communication.
- Tenant Information: Tenants may provide us with copies of their identification and other information, including, but not limited to, information related to Tenants’ credit, demographics, employment, finances, residences (“Tenant Information”). Tenant Information may either be provided directly to us by Tenants or Tenants may authorize our third-party service providers to supply us with that information. Tenant Information collected and processed by our third-party service providers will also be subject to the terms and conditions of their privacy policies and terms of service.
- Technical information which is information including your IP address, browser type, device and system information, unique identifier, the web page you visited before accessing the Platform, location information, date and time stamps, crash reports, system activity and other similar information and interactions with the Platform. Some technical information can be personal information, either by itself or when combined with other information.
- Information Collected Through Cookies and Technological Means: We or our third party service providers may use “cookies” and other technologies to record Technical Information and other information about you or your activity. A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on the computer hard drive or memory containing information about the user. You may modify your browser’s settings so that your browser stops accepting cookies or prompts you before accepting a cookie. If you do not accept cookies, you may still use the Platform, but certain areas or features may not function properly.

- Interest-Based Advertising / Remarketing: We or our third-party advertising providers may also use cookies and other technologies to keep track of your browser so that you will be recognized when you visit other websites where our third-party advertising providers may show you advertisements from us based on your visit to our Platform. Some of these advertisements may be customized to particular products and services that you viewed or they may be based on inferences about products and services that you might be interested in. How we share your information
We share Tenant Information with Landlords in the manner described when Tenant’s are asked to consent to the sharing of information. We may also share certain information of Landlords with Tenants, such as the Landlord’s name and contact information, when Tenants are asked to provide Tenant Information.
We may share your information with third-party service providers who help us with our business operations. For example, we share information with service providers who provide us with development, storage, marketing, analytics, payment processing, identity verification, financial reporting and promotional services.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer your personal information as part of that transaction.
We may share information about you if necessary for us to collect a debt from you or as permitted or required by law, for example with regulators and law enforcement agencies.
We may also share aggregated demographic or otherwise non-personal information with our partners and advertisers, such as usage statistics of the Platform.
If you have an account, you may review and change personal information which you provided to us by logging into your account and modifying the personal information stored in connection with your account. If you do not have an account, to change personal information that cannot be changed using your account and or for other questions about our privacy practices, you may contact us using the email address below.
3. Third Party Platforms

The Platform may contain links to third-party platforms, including third-party identification, payment processing, financial reporting or social media platforms. Information provided to or collected by such other third-party platforms are also subject to the privacy policies of such other platforms. We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other platforms. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of each and every website that collects personal information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Platform.
4. Data Storage
Storage Outside of Canada
Your personal information may be stored by us or our service providers outside of Canada. If your personal information is used or stored outside of Canada, it will also be subject to the laws of the country in which it is used or stored.

How we Protect your Information
We will take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Reasonable steps include measures appropriate to the level of sensitivity of the personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or service is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss or breaches of our security systems will never occur. Accordingly, you should not transmit personal information to us using our Platform if you consider that information to be sensitive.
Additional Protections for Minors
The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from these individuals. If you become aware that a person under the age of 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below and we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting the updated Privacy Policy and revising the “Last Updated” date above. By continuing to use the Platform after the changes are made, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
